Crear wedding photographer | Fifi + Kieran

Welcome back to the blog! The place where we give you further insight into our work, the behind the scenes, wedding planning, tips, guide and many more! And today we’re excited to tell you all about a recent wedding we had the honour of documenting - the special day of Fifi & Kieran which took place in a rural setting at the Crear Weddings on the West coast of Scotland.

An Intimate Crear Wedding | Crear Weddings Photographer and Videographer

Fifi and Kieran’s wedding day was bursting with every happy emotion right from the start all the way to the end. The couple themselves were jolly, fun-loving people that made capturing them on their special day great fun. Fifi and Kieran chose to get married at Crear Weddings, a luxury and exclusive coastal wedding venue with uninterrupted views to the isles of Islay, Jura and Giggle as well as the lighthouses of Rathlin Island!

The day started with Fifi and Kieran getting ready for the first part of their day in traditional Chinese outfits in their separate rooms. Their outfits matched and were mostly red and gold which in Chinese culture the former symbolises love, success, happiness, prosperity, fertility, honour and loyalty whereas the latter is symbolic of wealth.

According to Chinese culture and tradition, Kieran had to collect Fifi from her room before he could do so there were some ‘door games’ known as ‘Chaungmen’ that he needed to successfully complete. These games were prepared by Fifi’s bridesmaid to test Kieran’s determination to marry Fifi and of course win the approval of Fifi’s family. These games made the day super entertaining and fun and of course to top it all off Kieran succeeded in his challenges and won the approval of Fifi’s family.

After their games, a traditional tea ceremony was set up which in fact is an imperative tradition to be performed at Chinese weddings as this is where both Fifi and Kieran express feelings of gratitude, respect and appreciation to their parents for all their love and support, and their effort in raising them for all these years.

After the tea ceremony, Fifi and Kieran got ready for their main ceremony. Thankfully they were blessed with such good weather which meant they could have their ceremony outdoors overlooking the magnificent ocean and greenery all around. When filming outdoors weddings there are certain factors to consider that can affect footage in the post-processing stages. As professional wedding photographers and videographers, we always take into consideration factors such as the lighting, let’s say if it is too bright, or the gusts of wind, which could potentially be too noisy or causes interference with the sound, by using top quality and professional equipment to ensure your wedding film is smooth and seamless.

After the ceremony we headed down to a private beach where we let the couple explore followed by a romantic stroll down the beach. We documented these moments of the couple as newlyweds and captured all the raw and authentic emotions which to simply add was nothing short of beautiful. As wedding photographers and videographers, we always recommend to our couples to include a couple shoot at some point in their day, usually after family photos but before the meal, just to allow you to have some downtime and spend some quality time together before the party begins! The entire day can often be overwhelming for couples so having this time together whilst being filmed in a documentary style is the perfect way for couple to just enjoy moments alone but also create memories that can be watched again and again in years to come.

Kind words from Fifi and Kieran:

“Oh Aryan you are just incredible. Your work.. your story telling ability and the way how you crafted our day together was just perfect!!! You even captured the most amazing shots of our wedding venue 😍

Thank you so much 💓 We had goosebumps even just watching the teaser and seeing the whole highlight video just brought all those feelings back.”

So, if you are planning a your wedding or perhaps an intimate elopement wedding in Scotland, we would love to hear from you!

Without further ado, here is the wedding highlight video from this sweet couple’s special day.
